Our Secret Strategy for Amazon.in is Working! Here's How.

I am incredibly excited to share some big news! We have officially listed our products from pokerchips.in on Amazon.in. amazon brand SNOOGG
Honestly, I was not very hopeful at first. When you look at Amazon, there are many sellers already offering poker chips at similar prices. I also saw some listings with crazy high prices—over ₹10,000 for the exact same items that Indian sellers offer for around ₹2,000. I did a little digging and realized these were just for namesake (naam ke vaaste). They are international Amazon.com listings that are mapped to the Indian marketplace. If you read their reviews, the names tell the story – they are all from American or European buyers! I guessed no real Indian customer was buying those.
After we went live on June 1st, the first few days were silent. Nothing. I thought maybe Amazon's system just takes time to index new products.
Then, on June 4th, it happened – we got our first order! The 5th was quiet again, but the momentum is now building. Yesterday, we received 5 orders, and as of today, we have already received 9 orders!
So, what’s working? I believe my strategy for pricing and, more importantly, chip denominations is making the difference.
I took a calculated risk. The biggest difference between my sets and those of other Indian sellers is this: I do not offer tokens of 1 and 5.
My thinking was simple: "Aaj ke din kaun 1 aur 5 se khelta hai?" (Who even plays with denominations of 1 and 5 these days?). It seems my guess was correct!
While other sellers' sets end at the 100 denomination chip, I included higher values for bigger games. I replaced the almost useless 1 and 5 value chips with high-value denominations of 200 and 500 in our main ABS poker chip sets.
This early success is really motivating. Let's see what the next couple of days on Amazon bring! Thank you to everyone who has placed an order – you are proving our strategy right!
